MEMBERSHIP CARE Leader: Rita Butts The goal of this ministry if to make Chapel Hill UMC more inviting and welcoming to newcomers and to make those already inour church family feel nurtured and loved!
How have we done this?
- On Mother's Day we gave candy kisses to all the women in our church, and a note of thankfulness for their attendance in church that day.
- Men attending on Father's Day were given minid candy bars and note of appreciation.
- The Sunday before Flag Day, everyone received re and white mints with notes expressing love of God, country, church, and the recipient.
These are only a few examples of our activities. We also have a group who sends cards to our shut-ins, an e-mail prayer list, an annual birthday party for all our church members in January, and more!
Do you have some great ideas on how to "share the love" with our congregation? Contact Rita Butts for more information about how to become a part of this caring team!
